Terms of Service

Last updated 17 October 2026

Please read these rules before you use Frogly. They are written to be read, not skipped.

1. Agreeing to these Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are the rules for using Frogly, a place to join debates, ask questions and practise arguing against an AI. By using Frogly you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Frogly.

You can read debates, comments, questions and answers without an account. You need to sign in to take part (for example to comment, vote, ask or answer) and to debate the AI.

2. Who can use Frogly

You must be at least 13 years old, or older if the law where you live sets a higher minimum age for using a service like this. If you are under 18, please make sure a parent or guardian is happy for you to use Frogly.

You are responsible for what happens under your account, so keep your sign-in secure. Please keep to one account per person.

3. Your account and profile

You sign in with a Google account (or Facebook, if offered). We take your name, email address and profile picture from that account to set up your profile, and you can change your name, username, bio, interests and photo in Edit profile.

Choose a username and photo that aren't misleading, offensive or someone else's. We may change or remove ones that break these Terms.

4. What you post

You keep ownership of what you write. When you post something (a comment, reply, question, answer, bio or photo), you give Frogly a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store it, show it and distribute it inside Frogly, and to make the technical copies needed to run the service (such as backups). We use that licence only to operate Frogly.

Please remember that your comments, replies, questions and answers are public. Anyone can read them, including people who aren't signed in. Your AI debates are private to you.

You promise that you have the right to post what you post, and that it doesn't break the law or anyone else's rights.

5. Community rules

Frogly is for people disagreeing well. Argue with the idea, never the person. You agree not to:

  • harass, threaten, bully or demean anyone, or post hate speech;
  • post anything illegal, or that sexualises minors, glorifies serious violence, or encourages self-harm;
  • share other people's private information (such as addresses or phone numbers) or impersonate anyone;
  • spam, advertise, or post the same thing over and over;
  • manipulate votes, likes or counts, for example with several accounts or by organising others to do so;
  • scrape, overload or attack Frogly, upload malware, or get around its limits or protections;
  • use the AI features to produce or spread any of the above.

6. Moderation

We may remove content, limit what an account can do, or close an account that breaks these Terms or the law, with or without warning. We don't promise to review everything that is posted, and we aren't responsible for what members write: comments and answers are the views of the people who wrote them, not ours.

If you think we got a decision wrong, please contact us (see the end of these Terms) and we'll take another look.

7. AI features

Frogly's AI debate partner and AI answers are written by third-party AI models (at the moment OpenAI's, with Google's Gemini as a backup). Please keep in mind:

  • AI can be wrong, out of date or one-sided. Double-check anything important.
  • In a debate the AI deliberately argues the side opposite to yours, whatever it "thinks". What it says is practice material, not our opinion or its.
  • AI answers are general information, not professional advice. For medical, legal, financial or safety questions, speak to a qualified professional.
  • The "logic strength" score is a simple automated guide to how you structured an argument. It is not an expert judgement of whether you are right.
  • What you type into an AI feature is sent to those AI providers to produce the reply (see the Privacy Policy). Don't enter sensitive personal information.

8. Fair use and limits

To keep Frogly fair and affordable we limit how quickly you can post, and how many AI debates, AI messages and AI answers you can use each day. We may change these limits at any time.

9. Frogly and its content

The Frogly name, logo, design, software and the debates we write ourselves belong to us or our licensors. You may use them to use Frogly, but you may not copy, sell or build on them without permission.

We may change, pause or stop any part of Frogly. We work to keep it running, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free.

10. Ending your use

You can stop using Frogly at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account (see the Privacy Policy for what that removes). We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, if the law requires it, or if we close Frogly.

Parts of these Terms that are meant to continue afterwards (such as the licence for copies already made, the disclaimers and the limits on liability) do.

11. No warranties

Frogly is provided "as is" and "as available", without promises of any kind about accuracy, reliability or fitness for a particular purpose, to the fullest extent the law allows.

12. Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Frogly and the people who run it are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, profit or goodwill, arising from your use of Frogly, including from what other members post or what the AI says.

Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under the consumer-protection laws where you live, or any liability that cannot legally be limited.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make an important change we'll say so in the app, and the date at the top of this page will change. If you keep using Frogly after a change, you accept the new Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the place where Frogly's operator is based, except that any consumer-protection rights you have where you live still apply.
